FLAT ART
Flat art reproduction photography is a specialized technique utilized to create high-quality digital reproductions of two-dimensional artwork, such as paintings, drawings, prints, or even family albums. By meticulously capturing the artwork in a controlled environment with appropriate lighting and a high-resolution camera system, we ensure that every detail and color is faithfully represented in the final image. This process is essential for artists intending to create prints or digital copies of their work, as it enables them to showcase their art with clarity and precision. Overcoming the challenges of copying a glossy or varnished art piece is a crucial part of this type of reproduction photography; such as framed artworks that are behind glass or gold leaf paintings.
UP TO 150 MEGAPIXEL SINGLE SHOTS:
Our team employs the latest 150-megapixel medium-format camera systems, coupled with the best macro lenses to produce the most precise and accurate reproductions of objects with a single shot. In addition, we utilize technical cameras with perspective control to provide even greater flexibility and efficiency in generating precise single-shot reproductions. Our approach enables us to produce high-quality and accurate representations of any artwork placed before the camera.
GIGAPIXEL PANORAMIC SHOTS:
Our team uses two methods to execute gigapixel panoramic shots of items regardless of their size: using technical cameras that shift the view of the image sensor, or using a conventional camera and shifting the artwork in front of it. Images are then processed through various software for color grading and stitching to produce the gigapixel final image that is pixel-sharp and color-accurate.

MINIATURE TO LARGE PAINTINGS SUPPORT:
Our team has developed a high degree of expertise in the art of replication of intricate objects and artworks regardless of their size or shape. Our workflow for miniature articles typically entails the implementation of focus bracketing and stacking techniques. The images are then batch-processed and stitched together using industry-leading software. Large paintings are captured through panoramic shots using either a technical camera or a conventional one. Our team is trained to execute these techniques with precision and care, ensuring that the final product is an accurate and faithful reproduction of the original artwork.
PROFESSIONAL COLOR MANAGEMENT:
Our post-processing procedure in the studio is executed according to industry standards. It includes color grading using color-calibrated displays and retouching techniques to restore details and eliminate dust and scratches. We strive for excellence in each session, therefore, we perform a Lens Cast Calibration (LCC) correction and capture a neutral gray card for perfect exposure, vignette removal, even lighting across the frame, and white balance.
